We had a tough choice – there were several other conventions on at the same time as TokenCon 2023, but the idea of a small convention where we could practice our setup and have a quiet first booth won out in the end – and we were glad that it did, even if it wasn’t a “quiet” booth at all!

Follow along as we practice a little holiday gratitude to help balance out the isolation of being newbies in a new city by unwrapping a giant pile of board games we already own.
Adventures with the Drayers – Our DIY Halloween
This is our first proper Halloween in Portland – last year, we were still in the process of moving from our apartment to our house, and there was no time or energy to decorate. Join us as we start our American Halloween decoration collection with some DIY!
Adventures with the Drayers – Frog Pond Farm

Adventures with the Drayers – Roller Derby
When we moved to Portland, home of the World Champion Rose City Rollers, we had to get to a bout. The first one we could attend was the Wreckers, the so-called recreational team, who were playing the Northwest Derby Company.
Adventures with the Drayers – Mt Angel Oktoberfest
Mt Angel Oktoberfest is the largest folk festival in the Northwest. We went and checked out the wiener-dog races, food, and culture.

Rose City Comic Con
Rose City Comic Con was one of the events that we attended during our 2018 Portland scouting trip, so it was important to return! Here’s our 2022 experience.
Adventures with the Drayers – Oregon State Fair
When we first visited Portland in 2018, while we were still deciding if we would move here, one of the things I found most interesting and exciting was visiting the Oregon State Fair. I have only ever seen this kind of event on TV and movies – it feels like peak Americana. We were excited to go back again in 2022!

As the pandemic begins to tail off, we are finally emerging from our lockdown chrysalis and beginning to experience this new country – well, new to me. Here’s some of our Americana adventure at Dave & Buster’s
