Sunday, the last day of TokenCon 2023, was luckily a bit slower – but we still had a constant flow of interested players – and that night, we headed home to PDX!

TOKENCON – DAY 2
The Saturday of TokenCon, as with all multi-day weekend events, is the busiest day. We girded our loins and partook of the free breakfast, and then the crowds hit and kept hitting all day.
TOKENCON – DAY 1
Day 1 of TokenCon was MUCh busier than we expected – we demoed Bubble Net all day, then we did a Game Jam and played some games!
TOKENCON 2023 – getting there
We had a tough choice – there were several other conventions on at the same time as TokenCon 2023, but the idea of a small convention where we could practice our setup and have a quiet first booth won out in the end – and we were glad that it did, even if it wasn’t a “quiet” booth at all!
Our Monster Play-testing Weekend
We finally had a WHOLE weekend to dedicate to play-testing our prototypes! This is the overview, more details to follow as we process and implement what we have learnt!
Bubble Net – Updates
Bubble Net is a meditative, multi-player solo game about a pod of Humpback whales hunting fish with a spiral of bubbles. Here’s how I developed the first prototype of the game!
Play-testing at BGG.CON
An update on the prototypes we play-tested at BGG.CON and the ones we left at home – where are we now? What’s coming next for Drayer Ink games?
Tabletop Network/BGG.CON 2022 – 4
Day 4 of our TTN/BGG adventure is day 1 of the actual BGG convention. I had no idea what to expect, so I was very glad to already have a posse of friends and connections from TTN to keep me from wandering the corridors, aimless and alone, haha.
Bubble Net – rules v1
Here’s my first version of the rules for Bubble Net, which we are submitting to the Game Crafter lunchtime game challenge competition
New Design – Bubble Net
Bubble Net is a game about humpback whales bubble-net feeding – try to let as few fish escape as you can, you need to eat! This is the first prototype and test of the game. It went well!
